NC House Bill 50

Synopsis: Allows North Carolininians 18 and over to conceal carry without a permit, among other things.

Law-abiding North Carolinians 18 years and older will be able to conceal carry without a permit except where it is unlawful to conceal carry. North Carolina will still have conceal carry permits available for ease of purchase and reciprocity when travelling to other states.

Also, this bill makes it a Class B1 felony to use a firearm whilst assaulting law enforcement, military personel, medical personel, firefighters, and parole/probabtion officers. Felons cannot purchase or possess firearms and/or weapons of mass destruction and death.

It gives inspectors and protectors arrest privilages if a person commits assault, felonies, or threats to public peace.

Finally, the bill will provide state-funded scholarships to college-aged children of disabled law enforcement officers/firefighters.
